Happy Fri-yay! As a wife of someone who works almost every weekend, Friday doesn’t bring that much excitement. Although now I get to sleep in a smidge longer since I don’t have to wake up the girls for school. Does that really make up for all the middle of the night feedings? Nope. This week we have been working on getting back into a routine. McKenzie and Kasey are tired, I’m tired, the babies are NEVER tired.. ya know how that goes.
Anyways, this week I started a weight loss challenge group that lasts 30 days. I’m on day 4 and actually doing pretty good! So I wanted to share a dinner that I’ve had a couple times this week because it’s pretty low in calories but totally delic! In the beginning of the week I meal prepped for Cody and myself, so I made a bunch of ground turkey. It’s so easy to just throw this together with toppings. McKenzie and Kasey almost never eat what Cody and I do for dinner, so I usually end up making TWO different dinners. I’m tired of doing that so meal prepping has been amazing so far! Here is what I put on our ground turkey tostadas..
Baked corn tostada shell (40 cals)
Ground turkey with some taco seasoning (210 cals)
Lettuce and green chilies (10 cals)
Shredded cheese (70 cals)
Salsa (10 cals)
If you have any other “healthier” meals that are easy to meal prep then please comment below and share!
Okay my next Friday favorite this week is really something I have loved since the babies were born. FOXES!! Omgosh, I am on a fox frenzy for Mason! He has at least 5 outfits that are covered in foxes, his foxy Wubbanub and more! I just think they are so adorable. The whole “woodland creatures” theme speaks to me.
Last but DEFINITELY not least… I finally got my hands on a MAMAROO!!! Cody’s aunt passed hers along to us and I could not be more excited. This baby was something I wanted to put on my registry but thought it was just a bit expensive and no one would actually buy it, so I skipped out on it. If you follow me on Snapchat, you can see my babes are loving it! Basically, how it is different from any other swing or bouncy seat is that it has more realistic motions. Our favorite is the “car ride” movement. I wish I had this sooner because it works wonders. Mason and Harper do have to share it but I don’t think they mind 😉
Turkey sausage like the butter ball (by the hotogs it’s like 2.48 and Walmart or Meijer) then cut sweet potatoes up in cubes and cook those and peppers ( orange and red) throw that all in a skillet and let it all sauté together add some pepper and eat plain or throw it in a tortilla shell with a dab of plain Greek yogurt, bomb! Haha so good even my husband likes it and he doesn’t like “healthy food” 🙂
I want a Mamaroo soooo bad! 🙌 that’s one thing that is going to take some talking into for Stevie! 🙊😂
Try to find a used one! They are awesome. I wish I would have had two of them so they didn’t have to share.
