If there is one thing you need to know about my family, it’s that we are avid book lovers. We have started accumulating quite the little library in our office. I love going down there and planning what I’m going to read next. I usually take books upstairs to put into the kids rooms for them to read that month. I try to “theme” them as much as possible to holidays or whatever else is going on that time of year.
I thought I would start sharing what we are all reading out of our personal library collection! I just filled the kids rooms with some “spring” themed books. Anything that reminded me of a good spring/easter read – I grabbed. It doesn’t necessarily mean that the book is about spring but instead the pictures/colors of the cover or title reminded me of this time of the year.
Harper and Mason are 1 1/2 years old and love flipping through picture books. I don’t let them play with their books yet, unless they are cardboard! They will sit on the floor with me and listen intently while I read to them. It’s so sweet 🙂 Here is what I put on their book shelf for spring. I marked our favorite ones!
McKenzie and Kasey are at the fun reading stage (they are 9)! I love sharing my old books with them! Here are some of the ones they picked for their spring list.
Goosebumps: Why I’m Afraid of Bees
Wayside School is Falling Down (FAV)
The Bailey School Kids: Gargoyles Don’t Drive School Buses (FAV)
As for Cody and I, we are currently in the middle of re-reading the Harry Potter series. We have both read the series many, many times but it’s been a couple years since we have. We are both on the 5th book. So, finishing the series is what our spring reading list is looking like.
Harry Potter: Order of the Pheonix
Harry Potter: Half Blood Prince (FAV)
Harry Potter: Deathly Hallows (FAV)
What is on your spring reading list? I would love to know! We are always looks for new books to add to our library! Stay tuned for our summer list in June!
