life with two sets of twins

spooky halloween books for kids

As I’m typing this blog post… I’m surrounded by four LOUD wild and crazy kids. Kasey is teaching the babies to say, “I like big butts and I cannot lie”. Mason just chucked the remote at his sisters head. McKenzie is asking me if she can wear her bra to school tomorrow.

This is my life you guys. I’m slightly obsessed with them.

BUT what you really came here for was to know our favorite Halloween books for kids!

Some of these are new to our collection and some are old favorites! You may have read our post from last year (here) but I wanted to update with the new ones that we found.

Vamperina Ballerina

The Bad Seed

Gilbert the Ghost

The Little Old Lady Who Wasn’t Afraid of Anything

Big Pumpkin

There’s a Nightmare in my Closet

Fright Club

The Berenstain Bears Trick or Treat

These books are all toddler appropriate but also still good for older kids to read every year. My 9 year olds love diving into our Halloween book collection.

Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark

I wanted to include this book too because it is one of my FAVORITES! This is geared more towards older kids – definitely kids who can handle a little scare! The illustrations are amazing but creepy. It’s so. so. so. good.

What’s on your Halloween reading list this year? Let me know in the comments!
