These are some of my favorite blog posts to write! I love reflecting on the year and creating a little highlight reel. 2019 was a good year! We had so many family getaways, Cody and I had lots of alone time and we crossed something off our bucket list. Not pictured in this blog is the intense amount of healing we through as a couple. I think if I could put a word on this year, it would definitely be healing. I hope that 2020 has more healing in store for us but also lots and lots of happiness.
GREAT WOLF LODGE | JANUARY
We took a family trip to Great Wolf Lodge! The little weekend trips with the entire family always end up being some of my favorite memories. We love watching the kids have so much fun.

BRYSON WAS BORN | JANUARY
We had an addition to our family! My nephew Bryson James was born on the 26th. He is the sweetest, laid back baby I’ve ever met. He’s our 5th niece/nephew!
ETSY SHOP | JANUARY
I opened my Etsy shop! I have loved creating your little pegs all year long. It’s nice to provide extra income to my family just by doing a hobby. I was also in three flea markets throughout the year which were exciting to be a part of!

SPRING BREAK TRIP TO GEORGIA | APRIL
During Spring Break we took a road trip down to Georgia to visit with my brother and his family! The drive wasn’t the best experience ever (so much PUKE) but once we were there it was fun! It was the first time we met our nephew Owen too. What a little ham. It makes me sad that we can’t see them more often!

TROLLS BIRTHDAY PARTY | JUNE
Harper and Mason’s 3rd birthday was fun to plan! I stopped throwing themed parties for the girls when they were around seven. I’m sure that will be the case for Harper and Mason too, so documenting the parties I spend so much time planning is a must! I thought the Trolls theme was super cute.

MACKINAC ISLAND TRIP | JULY
Another favorite trip of mine this year… Mackinac Island! I’m not joking when I say that Harper and Mason talk about this trip ALL. THE. TIME. It really stuck in their little minds and I think that is so sweet. Every time we get in the car they ask if we are driving to Mackinac Island.

FALL FAMILY PHOTOS | SEPTEMBER
We don’t get professional family pictures taken very often (maybe every 2-3 years) so it’s special when we actually make it happen. I loved this fall session we did!

NF CONCERT | SEPTEMBER
You may say I’m a groupie but NF has been a huge part in my healing this past year, especially The Search album. It’s insane that a male rapper could take the exact words out of my head and put them in song form. Literally. The entire album. It’s nice that Cody shares the same love for NF as I do. Needless to say going to his concert was probably my favorite thing this year. It was surreal to be hearing the songs live that carried me through the year.

SALEM, MA | OCTOBER
Our trip to Salem was another absolute favorite of the year. It was just a mommy/daddy trip and much needed. I have wanted to go to Salem during October for so long, it was a check off my bucket list. We will definitely be back one day!

DATE NIGHTS | JAN-DEC
One of our biggest goals this year was to have a date night AT LEAST once per month. I’m happy to say we completed that goal! All of our dates were special in their own way and it really changed a lot for our marriage. Before this year we would always make excuses like… we didn’t have the extra money, we didn’t have the time, no babysitter, etc. We really never spent time for just us and it was starting to show. Never again!! Date your spouse!
