This past Christmas I started making DIY peg doll people. I saw some on Pinterest and thought my daughter’s would love them! They were getting a new dollhouse for Christmas so I figured I’d try making my own peg family. I ended up making custom families for all the little girls in our life and posting them on social media. I got such positive feedback and tons of people were encouraging me to open an Etsy shop… so I did!
how we store our bows
We have been accumulating bows since McKenzie and Kasey were little babies (circa 2009!), so you could say we have a little collection. It wasn’t until I met my friend Courtney, who owns Sprispals, that I really started ramping up the bow addiction. She just has so many cute prints and styles – I can’t help myself! I was so happy when I had another girl so she can inherit all the bows after McKenzie and Kasey are done with them. 🙂
diy industrial pipe bathroom shelves
As you may know, our master bedroom has been in “re-decorate” mode for a few months now. We painted and got some new furniture but it still needs all the finishing touches to make it feel complete. After that is finished, I’d love to turn to our master bath and give that a much needed update too! (Credit: thecharmingbenchcompany.com)
First of all, it’s pink. Why in the world did no one tell me that pink was a stupid idea? It looks like it should be McKenzie and Kasey’s bathroom! Well until we are ready to jump into all of that, I decided we definitely needed some more shelving in this room.
our first diy project
Usually I am the type of person that would rather buy something at full price than try to attempt to make it myself. I wish I was half as crafty or had an eye for design as a lot of you are. I love following Instagram accounts of people who decorate their homes with beautiful “farmhouse” decor. The farmhouse look is TOTALLY my style and I have dreams of turning my ranch style home into my farmhouse Pinterest board. If only I could find a real farmhouse with lots of land, right? Well, I decided to take baby steps and MAYBE one day my house will be full of neutrals, old wood and shiplap.
