You guys. I HATE picture day. Especially now that I have to worry about FOUR kids. When McKenzie and Kasey were toddlers most of their photo sessions would be crying pictures. They are funny to look back on now but in that moment I was a mess and hated getting them taken.
Everything involved with pictures is stressful. Picking out coordinating outfits, worrying about how the weather will hold up, getting everyone ready the day of, chasing your toddlers around while trying to get at least ONE decent family picture of everyone… good lord. This year, I was pleasantly surprised that they turned out so well!
We got a TON of pictures back for only being there for 20 MINUTES! That is all it took. I was shocked but so happy because if it would have been any longer, the babies would have really been upset! I’m sure Cody was happy too since he has just got his vasectomy two days prior (poor guy!).
We decided to use Abby Jayne Photography for our session since we have used her in the past for maternity and newborn sessions and she also is the one who shoots for the Sprispals photoshoots. We love her! I told her I wanted to take pictures with lots of pretty color and I think she definitely nailed the perfect location! I love all those fallen leaves. I think they turned out so good!
Harper and Mason were a little apprehensive, as always. We didn’t get too many smiles out of them but guess what… NO crying pictures! Yay! They did run around like crazy little people and wouldn’t stay in one position for very long but that is expected with toddlers.
I wanted to make sure to snag some pictures of just me and the kids! It’s very rare that I get a picture of all us in the same shot! I love Cody and all but these are my pride and joys 😉
Don’t worry though… we got some of just the two of us. 🙂 Here’s some funny ones of the babies! I wish you could see all of us on the sidelines trying to replace Mason every two seconds! He’s a fast mover!
We are now Christmas card ready! If you are our family or friends – you’ll be seeing this photos in your mailbox soon enough! 🙂
