life with two sets of twins

friday favorites | july 2019

July 26, 2019

Happy July! This month has been a great one for us. Cody’s had a lot of vacation time and we’ve been enjoying all our family time together. As usual, I want to share some things I’ve been loving this July. Enjoy!

ONE: I thought I’d share some of the books Harper and Mason have been LOVING lately. Literally we read all of these every single day (sometimes multiple times a day). I think they have them memorized. We even had to pack them for our Mackinac Island vacation!

How to Catch a Mermaid

They have a ton of “How to Catch…” books but this one seems to be their favorite. Highly recommend this one!

I Was So Mad

This is a quick easy read. Only $4 on Amazon! My kids think it’s hilarious.

Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

It’s a classic! It really helps them with their letters too! They will point out all the letters in their name while I’m reading.

TWO: Clever Fox Budget Planner

We used to be so on top of our budgeting/spending and we kind of let it go. I was sent this Clever Fox planner to give my review and I’ve really been loving it. I have written down EVERY time we’ve swiped our card this entire month and it’s honestly shocking to see where our money goes. It’s motivated me to get back into budgeting and saving!!

THREE: Puddle Jumpers!

I’m sure many people already know about puddle jumpers but these things didn’t exist when I had McKenzie and Kasey. They have been MAGICAL for Harper and Mason. Compared to a regular life jacket, these really help them learn how to swim. They can move around easier and they hold them upright so well! Mason is already jumping off diving boards by himself and they are both swimming in the deep end of the pool without help from us. I think these make them confident to do so. McKenzie and Kasey seriously didn’t do either of those things until they were SEVEN. Skip the regular vest and grab some jumpers!

FOUR: Bai Bubbles

So random but I LOVE me a sparkling water. La Croix and Bubbly… I just can’t. I don’t understand how anyone can drink that crap. I found a brand (besides my beloved ICE) that is sooooo good. Bai Bubbles! They have about five different flavors and you can bet they are always in my grocery cart each week.

FIVE: The Handmaid’s Tale

I’ve been watching this show since it first aired on Hulu. I’m currently watching season three and it just keeps getting better. I recommend this show to anyone who needs something new to watch. Warning: NOT kid friendly.

SIX: Mackinac Island

I’ve been obsessing over our Mackinac Island vacation ever since we got back. It’s such a fun place to bring the kids for a quick three day trip. Not to mention it’s just beautiful this time of year! We loved biking around the island and stopping to our favorite places in St. Ignace. We will most likely be making this a yearly trip!
