LOVED THIS DATE!
I don’t know what is was exactly but I really enjoyed this one. We decided on going to the drive-in movies. I feel like drive-ins are pretty scarce in most places but we’re lucky enough to live 15 minutes away from one. We used to go all the time but ya know.. kids happened.
When we were younger we both loved the book Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark. When we found out they were making it into a movie, we knew we had to go see it! We both re-read the book this week too! Since the movies don’t start until dark, we had time to put the kids to bed and then Cody’s mom came over to hang out until we got back.
We live in a small town and they have the BEST hole-in-the-wall pizza place. Sadly, it’s closing at the end of the month so we knew we were going to grab our last pizza from there for our date. It’s seriously my favorite pizza EVER. I’m legit sad about this – haha! I highly suggest smuggling in food and drinks (wayyyy cheaper and so easy to bring a full meal!).
I love the old feel of this drive-in. Reminds me of Grease 😉

Review of the movie: it was good! It was “amateur” scary, like I totally think McKenzie and Kasey could handle it. If you haven’t read the stories, I don’t think you would like it or it wouldn’t make a ton of sense. The ending was lame but it was pretty clear they’re going to have a sequel.
Another good date night in the books! I’m SUPPPPPER excited for Septembers date! Stay tuned!!!
