I don’t know about you but I LOVE themed holiday bookshelves. I feel like most of our children’s books revolve around the holidays or the “time of year”. Children’s books can be expensive so thrift stores like Goodwill or Salvation Army are good places to look. Amazon too! I usually get one new book per season, so it doesn’t seem that expensive. I’m going to be sharing my favorite St. Patrick’s day books that we love.
If you want to have a themed book nook but don’t have a lot of specific holiday books, you can also add coordinating colors. For the St. Pat’s theme… books with rainbows or books with green on the cover would be great! I threw in the Brave book, she’s technically Scottish but I definitely get the Irish vibe!
I also added two young reader chapter books. I used to love the Magic Tree House (#6) and Bailey School kids (#9) books!
