This month’s “dating my husband” post is pretty special because it wasn’t just a date, it was a TRIP! We decided to cross something off our bucket list and go to Salem, MA in October. If you have never heard of Salem… it is known for its thick history of witches and magic. This is where The Witch Trials took place in 1692 and more recently… where the movie Hocus Pocus was filmed. We planned this trip back in March and I was so excited it was finally time to go!
twin costume ideas
It’s OCTOBER! The best month of the year. I thought I’d kick off the month by sharing some of my favorite costume ideas for 2019. Since I have two sets of twins, I have done my research on twin costumes! I have a boy/girl set and a girl/girl set. I’m going to be sharing some fun ideas for both!! Any of these could be “sibling” costumes too – not just for twins!

a cold day at the pumpkin patch
Every year we try to visit our favorite pumpkin patch/apple orchards but we have been slacking this year! Even though it was a cold fall day, we still packed up the kids and brought them. We leave for vacation in just a few days, so I wanted to make sure we got it in before we left. Our favorite place to visit is Schwalliers Country Basket.
spooky halloween books for kids
As I’m typing this blog post… I’m surrounded by four LOUD wild and crazy kids. Kasey is teaching the babies to say, “I like big butts and I cannot lie”. Mason just chucked the remote at his sisters head. McKenzie is asking me if she can wear her bra to school tomorrow.
This is my life you guys. I’m slightly obsessed with them.
BUT what you really came here for was to know our favorite Halloween books for kids!
