Cody and I have decided to give our living room/main living space a little upgrade. We will be painting (keeping the dark navy wall and brightening up the other walls) and getting new flooring. We already ordered a new couch and have some other new furniture pieces, so now I’m on the hunt for decor! I’m really moving away from the farmhouse style decor, which is what I loved years ago. My style has changed so much. I’d say I’m more of a modern/boho vibe now, which seems more true to mine and Cody’s personalities. Which leads me into the things I’ve been loving from Amazon!
looking back on 2020
Time for one of my favorite blogs posts of every year! 2020 was a hard year for so many people. We had a lot of hard moments within my family as well. I can’t help but reflect on that positives that this year has brought us though. Here’s a little recap…
our master bedroom tour
Our master bedroom has always been the least of our concerns since we moved into our house seven years ago. During that time we were both finishing college, getting married and having another set of twins! Once I started to notice that EVERY room of the house was getting taken over by toys, I wanted at least one room that was completely mine.
how we store our photos
You might have noticed that I have a slight picture taking problem. I can definitely accept the title, mamarazzi! I truly enjoy documenting our lives (I mean I AM a blogger and vlogger) from the mundane moments to the big milestones. I’ve pretty much always been this way – ask any of my high school friends. I had a little camera I brought EVERYWHERE. I have a ton of pictures of us and probably too many pictures I shouldn’t have taken! Haha, sorry mom! Once I had kids, my photos went from 0 to 100 REAL QUICK. I needed to get these memories organized and put away in a special place.
living intentionally with erin condren
*This post was written in collaboration with Erin Condren. As always, the thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting this blog.
One thing I’ve learned about myself from 2018 is that I’m a goal setter and planner. I thrive when I have a list, my planner and what I want to achieve written down. I lost 22 pounds last year, hit many milestones in my blogging and vlogging career, and really discovered who I was. I believe I owe all that to planning, as crazy as it sounds. I thought of what I wanted and I went after it. It seems like a simple thought but if you’re not willing to put the work in, nothing is going to change. I want to carry this motivation into 2019 but make it even more intentional.
