**Disclaimer: I wrote this in one 20 minute session (with little regard to punctuation or grammar) and didn’t realize how much I had to say and how many cuss words I needed to say it. 🙂 You’ve been warned.

Lately this topic has been on my mind. I really really miss my high school friends. Some I lost touch with, others I still talk to but not nearly enough. I truly miss the hours of chit chatting about stupid gossip. I feel like we’re all still the fearless 17 year olds that are currently just going through different life stages. Shit, I am only 26 years old, married and have four kids! That’s not typically what you hear from someone so young. A lot of my friends aren’t even thinking about marriage yet or they’re about to get married. They are kid free. The kid-less life seems like some other dimension to me. My life has revolved around my little babes for the last eight years. Trust me, I love my coffee filled, yoga wearing, baby chasing life BUT I miss the days where the only ass I wiped was my own.

Happy Friday! Michigan leaves are in full color and the weather is getting cooler. I’m LOVING IT. I have probably said this a million times but this is my absolute favorite time of the year. I have to enjoy every minute of it since its the shortest season. Wahhh. 🙁 This weekend I’m going to a bachelorette party (a night with no kids??? Say whaaaat?) and Mason & Harper will be four months old. Cody and I have plans to do nothing except eat crockpot beef stew and watch football all day Sunday. What are your plans this weekend?

our family vacation from hell

This past weekend, Cody had some extra time off work so we thought it would be a good idea to head up north and visit Mackinac Island. I use to LOVE going to Mackinac with my grandparents when I was a child and Cody had never been, so it sounded like the place to go. If you watched my latest Youtube video, you saw that I was packing for this trip like crazy. I figured it would be freezing since it is late October and the Upper Peninsula is usually colder, well I was wrong. It was so warm that at one point. McKenzie and Kasey were walking around in their tank tops. Well despite the perfect weather we had, this trip will go down as OUR TRIP FROM HELL. Would you like to know why? I haven’t done a Friday Favorites the past couple weeks, sorry guys! I have been so busy lately with Mason and Harper. They were sleeping through the night but now are regressing. I think it has to do with teething because they are both SO whiny, drooly, and constantly have their hands in their mouths. Whatever it is, I don’t like it.

Today I’m filming my second “day in the life” vlog, so be on the lookout for that later today. I am also going to be packing my whole house up today because we are taking the kids to Mackinac Island for the weekend. I booked the biggest room at our hotel because of all the baby gear I’m bringing, haha! The weather there is pretty chilly right now so I broke out the winter coats and hats. It should be a great time depending how the kids act. Isn’t that always the case though?

My little sister is expecting a baby girl in December. It is so exciting because our babies will only be six months apart. Growing up I was very close with all of my cousins. They were definitely my best friends. Having that bond with family is the BEST so I’m excited our kids will get to experience it too.

Anyways, for her shower we decided to do a “fall” theme since it would take place in October. Fall is the best time of year here in Michigan after all :). Surprisingly enough, there isn’t a ton of fall baby shower ideas on Pinterest but I did find a few!
