12 weeks old… say what!? I think I’ll probably say this in every milestone post but I can’t believe how fast their first year is going. They went from sleeping all day to babbling, smiling, and laughing in a matter of months. I love how awake and alert they are becoming. I still miss all the naps, don’t get me wrong ;). They both are still eating between 4-5 oz. every three hours. Their night schedule has been amazing. They usually fall asleep around 8pm. I stay awake until 11pm to get in one more feeding for them. During this feeding they usually stay asleep and I put them in the bedroom. They stay sleeping until 6:30-7am. I can’t complain! I think they are both starting to teethe… did this happen to anybody else’s baby at three months? It seems so early but they are drooling, whining and putting their hands in their mouths. So I broke out the teethers which they don’t know how to put in their mouth.
Mr. Mason. Oh boy, his smile and giggle are going to get him in trouble one day. One little smirk can melt my heart. I’m not trying to toot my own horn but he definitely favors his mama. It’s probably because he needs to be held 24/7 or at least have another human in his line of view. Haha, since I’m lucky enough to stay home with them all day… that person is ME! Mason’s favorite things include eating, crying, being carried in the baby carrier, crying and crying. Oh, and getting attention. Their next doctors appointment isn’t until next month but using my not so reliable scale at home, he’s weighing in around 14lbs.
Harpie Harp. If you follow me on Snapchat then you know I always say how much of a little sweetie she is but IT’S TRUE. Gosh, she is such a good baby. Cody and I always talk about the sweetness that surrounds her. Seriously, if you met her you’d understand. She is looking more and more like her daddy every day. I can take her anywhere and not have to worry about her crying or needing to be held. She just patiently waits for brother to stop stressin and knows her turn is next. She is not as strong as Mason. She is starting to lift her own head more but still struggles. She HATES tummy time. Literally despises it. What she does like is when her big sisters play with her, focusing in on toys, watching cartoons, and the Mamaroo. She’s weighing in at 14.5lbs.
So, I wanted to take their three month pictures myself because it can get so expensive! Typically you’re suppose to get pictures at newborn, 3, 6, 9 and a year since they change so much. Anyways, I HATED doing it. Omgosh, first of all it is so difficult to get them in a good position since they can’t sit up on their own yet. They wouldn’t smile for me even though they smile ALL. DAY. LONG. (Come on kids!). I was sweating trying to position them and then quick jumping back to take the picture. Then after I got like ten “good” shots I had to figure out a way to edit them. So I downloaded this really old version of Photoshop and watched like 25 tutorials (if I hear the word “layers” again, I might snap). Well here is the outcome of all that stress. It’s as good as it gets from me. š Photographers make it look so easy!! I couldn’t imagine being in charge of someone’s wedding pictures. Scary!
On snapchat I mentioned I was going to try to do a vlog soon. I plan on filming a “newborn must haves” this week sometime. Hopefully I don’t epically fail at that too. š Stay tuned!
