Happy Labor Day! This past week we had a ton of stuff going on. Every day there was some kind of event. I actually liked how busy we were staying. It felt good to get out of the house even if it was just for a little while. School starts tomorrow and our lives will fall back into a strict routine – which I LOVE. I can’t believe my little baby girls are going to be starting 3rd grade! It’s just crazy! Since it was such an eventful week I thought I’d share some pictures from it! Here’s our highlight reel:
Monday: McKenzie and Kasey had their first day of cheer practice! They have been looking forward to starting cheer all summer. The first day was mostly a meet and greet but they did learn a couple cheers. I can’t wait for them to get their uniforms and watch them at their first game!
Tuesday: We love working with brands and one of our favorites is Sprispals! She’s local so we have a personal relationship with her, which is the best! All the kids have modeled for her in the past but today only McKenzie and Kasey did it. It was past Mason and Harper’s bedtime so we all know how that would have went, haha! These pictures aren’t from the shoot, I took these just for fun beforehand.
Wednesday: SCHOOL OPEN HOUSE DAY! The girls finally got to meet their 3rd grade teachers. They are in a new building this year so we explored their new stomping grounds too. I separate the girls for class so they can learn to be independent and make their own friends. We went to both classes and found their desks and lockers. They are so excited for school tomorrow!
McKenzie also injured her pinky finger while she was playing outside. I’m trying hard not to be the mom who runs to the ER for everything because we already have a stack of medical bills from Kasey’s broken wrist. Well I think I’m going to have to take her in because after 5 days of just watching it (and my homemade splint ;)) it is still swollen and bruised. This is also her writing hand… perfect for back to school!
Thursday: If you know me then you know I’m Lularoe obsessed. It’s seriously the perfect SAHM wardrobe. Today I hosted my first party! The Lula-consultant has a huge truck that is filled with racks of clothes and even fitting rooms. She pulled up in my driveway and it was an open house type of party. I had snacks and wine in my garage and people shopped until 8:30pm! It was so fun!
Friday: Cody actually had a true weekend off work this week which is the best!! We just had a relaxing day today 🙂
Saturday: Today we had our first and last wedding of the year. It was about an hour away from where we live but the drive wasn’t too bad. My in-laws came over to babysit Harper and Mason and we brought the girls with us because they love weddings. It was absolutely beautiful with good food, drinks and music! It was fun to get out of the house and do some dancing. 🙂
Sunday: We had originally planned on going up to Cody’s parents cottage on the lake but Cody wasn’t feeling well. Mason ended up getting a fever later that day too. Around 7:00pm my parents came over to watch the babies so me and Cody could go out to dinner. When Cody gets a “real” weekend off we need to take advantage of it. So, we went and got a bite to eat and had a couple drinks. Bonus: we came home to a clean house! My mom even mopped the floors – thanks mom! 🙂
What a fun and eventful week and I’m glad you were able to follow it with some relaxing over the weekend! That is the best to me! Your girls are beautiful!
