This month’s “dating my husband” post is pretty special because it wasn’t just a date, it was a TRIP! We decided to cross something off our bucket list and go to Salem, MA in October. If you have never heard of Salem… it is known for its thick history of witches and magic. This is where The Witch Trials took place in 1692 and more recently… where the movie Hocus Pocus was filmed. We planned this trip back in March and I was so excited it was finally time to go!
road-trip essentials for kids
This is a bittersweet post. We leave for Georgia in just a couple days for spring break – YAY! We’re going to visit my brother, sister in law and my baby nephew, whom we’ve had yet to meet. So that’s very exciting! The “bitter” part of it all is that we are driving. Michigan to Georgia. 12+ hours. With TWO toddlers. The girls are coming too but they do so well on road-trips we hardly even notice they’re there!

universal studios vacation part 1
We decided on taking an adults only trip to Universal Studios Orlando. We planned this vacation on New Years Day 2018, so it has been a LONG year of waiting for it to finally arrive. Our main focus was Halloween Horror Nights, which is the largest Halloween event in the U.S. but obviously wanted to go to the parks too. My parents had never been to Orlando – it was fun seeing everything through their eyes! We had such a fun time but I was definitely ready to get home to my kids after six days!!

Cody and I were dating for almost four years at this point. We moved from my apartment into a 3-bedroom townhome and then into our current house during those four years. We were basically doing what married couples do but he was still only my boyfriend. Life was going great and I knew he was the one I wanted to marry. I was just hoping that ring would be coming soon! 🙂
