My favorite blog post of the year!!! I think it’s so important to go back and reflect on all the great and memorable things that happened. We had a really great 12 months!
JANUARY | Harper’s Cheer Competition
This was Harper’s second year of cheer and the competitions are our favorite part! She gets so excited. They placed 4th in the State for their age group.
FEBRUARY | Great Wolf Lodge Trip
We love going to GWL at least once a year. We always talk about how fun it was and that we can’t wait to go back.
APRIL | Harper’s First Daddy Daughter Dance
Oh my gosh, Harper was so excited to be going to the dance with her daddy. She loves make-up and dressing up, so this was right up her alley.
MAY | Justin Bieber Concert
I took the girls to their very first concert – J BIEBS! I think I had the most fun but they also liked it. 😉
JUNE | Harper’s Dance Showcase
This was her first year of dance. It wasn’t her favorite (it was a little too slow for her) but the showcase was the CUTEST. We really enjoyed watching her.
JUNE | The Girl’s Boating License
The girls passed their boaters safety and got to cruise around on the jet-skis all summer! They loved it.
JUNE | Mason and Harper’s 6th Birthday Party
This year we went with a pool party theme and held it at Cody’s parents pool. I thought it was such a cute theme. They had a blast!
JUNE | Riding Bikes!
They both learned to ride without training wheels. Harper caught on instantly.. Mason took some convincing to try it but he eventually got there! They were so proud of themselves, which makes me so happy as a mom.
AUGUST | Mackinac Island Trip
About every three years we try to go to Mackinac. It’s one of our favorite places. This year we packed in SO much within three days. Our favorite as always is the bike ride around the island.
SEPTEMBER | Our Family Photos
OBSESSED. I am literally obsessed with how our family photos turned out this year. We had the best photographer. I will cherish these forever.
OCTOBER | Universal & Halloween Horror Nights
As always, we had the BEST time on our mom/dad only trip. Universal is our favorite place and HHN is our favorite thing to do!
OCTOBER | Halloween Costumes
This year we had awesome halloween costumes with some cool photoshoots. I know I don’t have many years left of them letting me dress them up like this – so I had to add this to this list!
DECEMBER | Lions Game
Can we talk about the Lion’s this year?! It’s exciting to watch their improvements. We went to the game with my parents and saw a WIN!
ALL YEAR | The Gym
In January, Cody and I got a gym membership and we have religiously went at least 5-6 days a week since then. Going to the gym is our hour of alone time and it has been SOO good for my mental health. I can definitely tell a difference in my energy and overall mood. I also can’t believe we’ve stuck with it for an entire YEAR!
All of this doesn’t even count all the dates, quick weekend trips, summer cottage life, every day fun that we’ve had. It was a great year. I can’t wait to see what 2023 has in store for us.
